Working Together to Fight Hunger

Sandy Spring Bank Employees Donates 15,000 Meals - shown as a check- to the Maryland Food Bank

Each year during our Season of Sharing, we volunteer our time and donate thousands of meals to our partners at the Maryland Food Bank and Capital Area Food Bank.  These organizations play a critical role in helping to build healthier communities and deliver hope to some of our more vulnerable neighbors.

This year was no exception, and our employees recently volunteered at the Maryland Food Bank to assist kitchen staff in packing and freezing hearty, nutritious meals for children.  We also donated 15,000 meals to help address the rising need for food assistance among Maryland children, seniors and working families.

We look forward to continuing to support our friends at the Maryland Food Bank in 2018 through volunteer events, fundraising opportunities and much more. On behalf of all of us at Sandy Spring Bank, thank  you to the Maryland Food Bank staff and community volunteers for your  tireless efforts to fight hunger—especially during the holidays.
