Supporting Our Veterans and Their Families

To show our appreciation for our veterans and their families, the Mortgage Division at Sandy Spring Bank recently visited the Walter Reed Bethesda Navy Fisher House in Bethesda. The Fisher House is an international non-profit that provides professionally furnished and decorated lodging for veterans and their families while a loved one is receiving treatment. These comfortable “home away from homes” are located at major military and VA medical centers to ensure residents are in a pleasant support space during a time of need. 

Our team delivered, served and enjoyed a hearty dinner with over 70 residents from five Fisher Houses in the area.  It was an honor to have the opportunity to encourage and thank these special military families for their selflessness and sacrifice.  The Mortgage team also made a donation to support the on-going needs of the houses and their residents.
