At Sandy Spring Bank, one of employees’ favorite volunteer events is making PB&J sandwiches for our partners at Our Daily Bread in Baltimore. This Season of Sharing tradition once again brought together dozens of employees from across the bank to assemble nearly 1,000 sandwiches this week.

A team from the bank then personally delivered the sandwiches to Our Daily Bread so that they could begin to distribute them and make an immediate impact in the lives of seniors, individuals with disabilities and others in need throughout Baltimore. Through our partnership, we’re able to help Our Daily Bread meet their goal of serving more than a quarter million meals each year.

Recognizing the extensive need that exists, employees also volunteer their time to this cause throughout the year, not just during the holidays. Every month a small team gets together to make and deliver more than 300 sandwiches. Thanks to the enormous contributions of our employees, we have provided more than more than 4,000 sandwiches in 2018!
