Sandy Spring Bank recently announced that Mark D. Moore has joined the company as Division Executive of Corporate and Institutional Banking. Moore is part of a series of leadership appointments and promotions that will help prepare the bank for future growth. In this newly created position, Moore will build upon the bank’s capabilities and accelerating growth in the middle market, government contracting, nonprofit, and specialized lending spaces. He will work out of the bank’s corporate office in Reston, Va.

Moore has 35 years of broad-based banking experience in strategic planning and overall operations. He has held senior positions at various financial institutions of all sizes in Northern Virginia. Most recently, he was a Regional President at Atlantic Union Bank.
