Sandy Spring Bank Named a 2019 Baltimore Sun Top Workplace

Sandy Spring Bank is pleased to announce it has been named a 2019 Top Workplace by The Baltimore Sun. Out of the 135 companies recognized, Sandy Spring Bank is the only bank included, ranking number five in the “large employer” list. The designation comes on the heels of the bank also being honored as a Top Workplace by The Washington Post earlier this year.

The Baltimore Sun’s Top Workplace list is determined by employee feedback gathered through a third-party survey, which measures several aspects of workplace culture, including alignment, execution and connection.

Sandy Spring Bank prides itself on the long tenure of its employees and its commitment to the community. More than 53 percent of its workforce has been with the bank for more than five years; more than 30 percent has been with the bank for more than ten years; and nearly ten percent has been with the bank for 20 years or more. All employees are encouraged to volunteer throughout the community. So far in 2019, employees have logged more than 10,000 volunteer hours.
