Ronda McDowell

Ms. McDowell has over 40 years of experience in the financial services industry. She began her distinguished career with Sandy Spring Bank in 1996 as part of Credit Risk Management where she quickly established herself as an effective leader. In 2013, Ms. McDowell was promoted to Executive Vice President and Chief Credit Officer and oversaw the development of policies and processes that supported the Bank’s strong asset quality performance and portfolio growth. In 2021, Ms. McDowell was named Executive Vice President and Chief Operations Officer. In this capacity, she oversees the areas of Deposit Operations, Loan Operations and Administration, Business Project Management, Business Process Management and Corporate Real Estate & Facilities. Ms. McDowell currently serves as Chair of the Maryland Bankers Association Board of Directors.  She is also an active supporter of Habitat for Humanity’s Women Build program.
