Joan Ward

Joan Ward serves as Chief Operating Officer and Chief Compliance Officer for Sandy Spring Trust. Prior to joining Sandy Spring Bank in 2001, Joan was employed by several major local and mid-Atlantic regional banks. She has over 29 years of experience in national and state-chartered trust company management and administration. Joan earned her degree in Education from Church Teachers College in Mandeville, Jamaica. She also holds CFIRS™ from Canon Financial Institute. She resides in Brookeville, Maryland with her husband and their two daughters.
