Ready, Set, Share!

2015 Season of Sharing Starts Today

Sandy Spring Bank Blog Season of Sharing Stamp with text wpad.jpgAs a community bank, helping our neighbors is part of our DNA. This is why we are excited to kick-off our annual Season of Sharing. While we focus on giving back all year, the Season of Sharing is a special time for all of us at Sandy Spring to unite our efforts.

Beginning today, our employees will embark on a two-month mission to make a positive impact on the communities we serve. In the coming weeks, you will find us running food drives; serving meals; preparing and delivering home-cooked holiday dinners; packaging weekend food kits for students; collecting toys; and much more. We will partner with more than a dozen area non-profits to help reach our neighbors in need across Maryland, Virginia and D.C.

But the Season of Sharing is not just for our employees – everyone has an opportunity to get involved with the simple click of a mouse or tap of a finger. Each week we will feature special tweets and Facebook posts with our Season of Sharing stamp. Anytime you see the stamp, please share or retweet the post and we will donate 10 meals to an area food bank. We will also donate meals whenever a new personal checking account is opened through December 14.

Last year our employees volunteered more than 350 hours, and we helped to donate more than 40,000 meals to residents in our footprint; we are looking forward to making an even bigger impact in 2015. Please follow us on Facebook and Twitter and check in often to help us serve our community.

Thank you for your support, and happy Season of Sharing!
