The New Columbia Operations Center and a Commitment to Howard County

At Sandy Spring Bank, we are committed to being a go-to resource for our clients and a positive corporate citizen to our community. We recently took another step toward being a better Sandy Spring by moving our Columbia Operations Center to a new location at 6831 Benjamin Franklin Drive.

The new operations center is a modern facility that will allow us to better serve you through enhanced innovation and collaboration. The space also includes new features aimed at improving client research and engagement.

For example, we now have our first-ever Client Experience Room and a Technology Test Lab. The Client Experience Room is a dedicated space for client focus groups, panel discussions, and networking events. Here, we will invite clients into our offices to provide candid and honest feedback, which will inform how we innovate to continue to meet our clients’ needs. The Technology Test Lab provides our client service and technology teams the opportunity to test all of the bank’s online systems on the latest mobile devices, desktop computers, and tablets.

Sandy Spring Bank is committed to continuing to serve as a leading employer in Howard County, a strategic partner to area businesses, and an active member of the community. In recognition of the recent move and our 300 employees in the county, employees in the new Operations Center will collectively volunteer 300 service hours in the coming months. To kick off the effort, we made a more than 200 lb. donation to the Howard County Food Bank, and we assembled 1,000 care packages for the seven senior centers that are part of the Howard County Office on Aging. Additional activities in support of Rebuilding Together Howard County and the Community Action Council will take place in the coming months.
