Dr. Bob Marzban has always had a passion for dentistry. Growing up in Northern Virginia, he developed strong ties to the area, now owning LM Orthodontics in McLean, which has been providing quality orthodontic care to families throughout the region for more than 20 years. But when COVID-19 hit, he found himself disappointed by his current bank and wondering where to turn.
Dr. Marzban initially began his relationship with Sandy Spring Bank by opening a personal bank account. At the time, he decided to keep his existing business bank. However, after running into multiple problems obtaining a PPP loan during the second round of funding, he decided to share his struggles with his Sandy Spring Bank relationship manager.
“The process of applying for the second round of PPP funding was miserable with my existing bank,” said Dr. Marzban. “Sandy Spring Bank saw the issues I was having and offered to help. They held my hand through the entire application process and enabled me to secure a second PPP loan to keep my practice running.”
It was then that Dr. Marzban knew he had found a true partner in Sandy Spring Bank. He decided to transfer all his business banking over, securing a commercial loan and opening business accounts to help his practice continue to grow.
Dr. Marzban also stated how much he appreciates the care and support Sandy Spring Bank provides to small businesses.
“While other banks claim they care about small businesses, a lot of them really don’t. But Sandy Spring Bank is always on your side,” Dr. Marzban said. “I strongly recommend them because, as a small business owner, you need to work with a bank that’s local. It’s critical to have someone who knows you, your business, and the community working with you on the other end.”
Dr. Marzban concluded, “I have told all my friends within the dental community about my wonderful experience with Sandy Spring Bank.”
