A. You may visit any of our community offices to purchase a card. Please note: You must have an account at Sandy Spring Bank to purchase a Gift Card.

Q. What denominations do the Gift Cards come in?
A. Gift Cards are available in any denomination between $20 and $500.

Q. Is there a cost to purchase a Gift Card?
A. Yes, there is a nominal $5 fee charged for each card purchased.

Q. Are there any fees associated with using the card?
A. There are no transaction fees. However there may be costs incurred after the card is purchased, please refer to our Card Terms and Conditions for any fees associated with the card.

Q. Can the card be used to make purchases online?
A. Yes. Before making any online purchases, the recipient of the card must visit our Gift Card website to update their name and address.

Q. Does the card need to be activated?
A. Yes. Just follow the instructions on the card to activate the card and select a personal identification number (PIN).

Q. Can the card be used outside the United States?
A. Yes. Additional fees may apply. Please view our Card Terms and Conditions for additional information.

Q. Can the card be used at an ATM?
A. No, the card can only be used to make purchases and cannot be used to obtain cash.

Q. Does the card expire?
A. Yes, the expiration date is embossed on the front of the card. All funds must be used prior to that date.

Q. What happens if the card is lost or stolen?
A. You may call 866-272-8514. At our discretion, a replacement card may be issued. The card should be treated like cash.
