Sandy Spring Bank Recognized by Forbes for More than a Decade
Sandy Spring Bancorp, the holding company for Sandy Spring Bank, is proud to have been recognized by Forbes magazine for more than a decade as one of the 50 Most Trustworthy Financial Companies in America.
“Our client relationships are built on trust, and we work hard to earn and maintain that trust every day,” said Daniel J. Schrider, President and CEO of Sandy Spring Bank. “We have created a unique culture that really values our employees and encourages them to become lifelong advocates for our clients. This differentiates us in a highly competitive market and further solidifies our position as a premier bank in the Greater Washington region.”
Sandy Spring Bank has been helping individuals, families and businesses reach their financial goals for 150 years. The bank was founded by a group of local business and townspeople who saw a need for a community bank where they could place their trust—a bank that would serve the interests of its people and make the community a better place to live, work, run a business and raise a family. We remain committed to the values that have shaped who we are today, so it is especially meaningful to be recognized by Forbes in this way.
Forbes engaged a private research firm to look at several hundred financial companies to determine the 50 that rated the most trustworthy, based on accounting and governance practices. Factors considered included high-risk behaviors like regulatory actions, amended filings, revenue and expense recognition methods and bankruptcy risk.
While Sandy Spring Bank had been recognized by Forbes for 12 consecutive years, Forbes did not produce the list in 2018.
