Christina H. James, CFP®
Christina H. James, CFP® is a Vice President and Senior Trust Relationship Manager with Sandy Spring Private Client Group, a division within the bank that takes a holistic approach to meeting clients’ financial needs through trust services, private banking, wealth planning and investment management.
Christina has more than a decade of wealth management experience, including: financial planning and client relationship development. Prior to joining Sandy Spring Bank, Christina worked as a financial advisor at VWG Wealth Management where she created customized wealth management solutions, retirement plans and investment strategies for clients and their families. She served as a Private Advisor at Branch Banking & Trust where she worked with affluent clients to create and implement comprehensive financial plans.
Christina graduated summa cum laude with a Bachelor of Science degree in Business Management and a Certificate in Financial Planning from Western Kentucky University. While there, she played Division 1 Tennis, and was named both a Scholar Athlete and the top business management student in the Gordon Ford College of Business. She currently holds the CERTIFIED FINANCIAL PLANNER™ (CFP®) designation.
Christina is active with The Women’s Center and its annual Leadership Conference. She is also a member and has chaired its annual Fall Fair for the past two years. She has previously held positions on the Future Fund Leadership Board for the Community Foundation and on the Northern Virginia A Family Services Legacy and Gifting Community.
In her spare time, Christina enjoys traveling and spending time with family and friends. Christina and her husband, Oliver, live in Reston, Virginia with their two boys and rescue dog.
